ABOUT THE SONGWRITERS
Jeff Middleton CMA Song of the Year Nominee for “Drowns the Whiskey”, a multi-week #1 on country radio for Jason Aldean and Miranda Lambert. Jeff’s songs have been recorded by Morgan Wallen, Lee Brice, and Jordan Davis.
Justin Klump NW Native with Rolling Stone Country’s 10 Best Songs for “The Other Side”, songs on BBC One, Fox & NBC Sports, and Sirius XM. Justin’s songs have been recorded by Jacob Rice, Regan Stewart, and McKayla Marie, and featured by Parade Magazine, American Songwriter, and CMT.
Tori Tullier Top 20 with Tim Hicks & Lindsay Ell, top 50 with Stephanie Quayle, and a Sammy Cahn Lyric Award Winner (past winners include John Mayer, Josh Ritter, and Lori McKenna). Tori’s songs have been recorded by Tenille Arts, Emma White, and Britnee Kellogg.
Nate Botsford NW favorite with feel-good tunes and relatable lyrics who has shared the stage with Old Dominion, Brett Young, Chris Janson, LoCash, and Lonestar. He has received regular radio airplay and won numerous awards, including top prize for a national songwriting contest with Project Aloft. Nate’s music has been featured by CMT, The Boot, Country Now, and The Wolf (Portland).
FROM THE FOUNDER
I started Nashville in the Northwest in May 2019 because I saw a need and a desire for listening room style concerts in and around the Pacific Northwest. Having grown up in Vancouver, WA, I wanted to connect the songwriters and artists I was working with from both Nashville and the Northwest, and present them to the community in a unique way – in a way that was fresh and intentional, that was memorable, turned the attention to the songwriter and the songs themselves, and allowed local audiences to experience a taste of Music City.
You could say that bringing music to the region is in my DNA. My grandfather, Walter Cleland, founded the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in 1978, and conducted the Orchestra until the early 1990’s. Today, the symphony is still going strong. My goal with Nashville in the Northwest is also to build something that audiences will experience for many years to come.

WHAT WE ARE Nashville in the Northwest is a Songwriters Festival and Concert Series that brings together some of Country & Americana music’s top songwriters, as well as emerging artists and songwriters from Nashville, Tennessee and the Pacific Northwest.
OUR MISSION
Nashville in the Northwest is dedicated to presenting high-quality, unique entertainment in the northwest, helping cultivate the arts and music scenes in the northwest, and partnering with the local businesses & non-profit organizations that call the northwest home.
WHAT SETS US APART
Each performance is presented listening-room style, which consists of three or four songwriters taking turns sharing their songs and stories, trading harmony and accompanying one another.
